What happens when my trial ends?
We keep ingesting your events — nothing is dropped or deleted. The dashboard blurs behind a paywall until you subscribe, then unlocks live. Your data is always yours.
What does "keep it forever" mean?
A self-host license buys 12 months of updates. Stop paying and Okapi keeps running the version you have — forever. No kill switch, no phone-home lockout.
Will you ever send me an overage bill?
No. Cloud bands are soft — we notify you, never auto-charge. Self-host has no volume limit at all; seats are the only axis.
Can I pay by invoice?
Yes — the Business self-host tier supports invoicing and POs for procurement.
Is Okapi open source?
No — Okapi is closed source and self-hostable. We publish exactly what phones home, and your license never expires, so you're never locked in.
What phones home?
Only license status and anonymous version + scale telemetry — fully documented and switchable off. An offline instance is never degraded below its last-known state.
